    Loose Bearings Empty Loose Bearings

Post  Tom Fri Mar 20, 2009 12:54 am

    Dear Keppe Motor Team,

As I was attempting step 2 in the Kit, to insert the shaft through the bearings, it was very difficult to insert. I tried both directions, but both bearings came out of the socket.

Now the shaft is half way through the coil, and it is stuck to one of the bearings. The shaft does not want to go in or out.

What is the best procedure for re-inserting the bearings into the coil, and getting the shaft unstuck from the bearing?

    Thank you

    Tom,

You can press the bearings with a plier and hit the shaft softly with a small hammer. It should come out after some punches.
The bearings can be re-glued with superbonder (be careful not to drop the glue in the rolling balls).
To adjust shaft gauge, use a very fine file or a sandpaper, and gently sand the shaft by hand.

    Best Regards,
